1. Who we are

CPP – LM LIMITED, trading as CPP and CPP-LM Ltd, operates this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 01463285. Our registered office is K8 Lower Road, Northfleet, Gravesend, Kent, England, DA11 9BL.

For questions about personal information or to exercise your rights, email so@cpp.email or write to our registered office marked “Privacy”.

2. What this notice covers

This notice covers the corporate website at cpp-lm.com and enquiries sent directly to our team. The website introduces our manufacturing business and product families. It has no customer accounts, checkout, newsletter signup or online enquiry form.

Product, reseller and technical enquiry links take you to our separate shop at cpp.parts. Its privacy policy explains the information used by its forms, accounts and checkout.

3. Information we use and why

  • Enquiries and correspondence: names, business contact details, company information and the details you choose to send by email, telephone or post. We use these to respond to your request and manage business relationships. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with customers, distributors, suppliers and other business contacts. Where you personally request steps before entering a contract, or we perform a contract with you, contractual necessity may apply.
  • Website and security records: technical information such as IP address, requested pages, access time, browser details, errors and security events. We use this to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect it against misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable, secure website.
  • Website administration: authorised staff account details, login information and administrative preferences used to maintain WordPress. These support our legitimate interest in operating the website securely.
  • Legal requirements: where a law requires us to retain or disclose particular information, we rely on that legal obligation.

Providing information for an enquiry is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer without relevant details. Please send only information relevant to your request. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use this corporate website for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who may receive information

Information may be accessed by authorised CPP staff and the service providers needed for the relevant purpose, including website hosting, email, IT support and backup providers. Professional advisers and public authorities may receive information where necessary for advice, legal obligations or the protection of legal rights. This corporate site does not contain advertising or analytics integrations.

5. International processing

Hosting, email, support and backup services can involve processing in countries outside the UK. The arrangements depend on the service and the information involved. UK data protection law requires an applicable transfer mechanism where a restricted international transfer is made, such as UK adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact so@cpp.email for information about the providers, processing locations and any safeguards relevant to your information.

6. How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose and type of record. The criteria used are:

  • Enquiries and correspondence: whether a request is still being handled, whether the correspondence remains needed for an ongoing business relationship, and whether a record is needed to resolve a complaint or establish what was agreed.
  • Website and security records: the period needed to operate and troubleshoot the website, investigate a security event and complete the relevant log or backup rotation cycle.
  • Contract, legal and dispute records: applicable record-keeping duties and the period for which the information is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • Backups: the relevant recovery and replacement cycle. Copies retained for recovery are distinct from day-to-day operational records.

Information should not be retained beyond the relevant purpose. If you want to know the retention arrangements for a particular record or request its deletion, contact us using the details above. A legal obligation or an active dispute may affect whether information can be deleted.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information you provided. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Send requests to so@cpp.email. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally handled without charge and within one month, subject to lawful exceptions and extensions. We will explain any restriction or refusal that applies.

8. Concerns and complaints

Please contact us if you have a concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not need CPP’s permission to contact the ICO.

9. Cookies and changes

Read our Cookies & Website Technologies page for information about this site. We update this notice when the website or the way information is used changes. The date above identifies the latest version.
